2026 Field Trip to Massachusetts 

Newburyport and Gloucester, MA 

February 14 and 15, 2026  

Join SVAS for a weekend of fabulous birding at two of New England's premier locations for winter birding. Naturalists Bob Martel and Cory Ross will lead birding both days. We'll spend one day birding around the Cape Ann Area and the other at Parker River NWR. Birding will consist of carpooling and/or caravaning around the area, with short walks outdoors at a number of stops. Dress warmely, as it can be quite cold by the ocean in the winter months. Attendees are responsible for their own transportation and lodging, but there is no fee for your bird guides. Join for one or both days. Registration is REQUIRED.
